Abstarct: Recently, magnetic nanoparticles have been extensively employed as alternative catalyst supports, in view of their high surface area resulting in high catalyst loading capacity, high dispersion, low toxicity, environmental protection, outstanding stability, and convenient catalyst recycling. In this search, Fe3O4 nanoparticle was prepared through a solvothermal method. The obtained Fe3O4 particle was coated by aluminum 2-propoxide in the hydrothermal condition (Fe3O4@boehmite). Then it was covalently functionalized with 3-(tri- methoxysilyl) propyl amine and Salicylaldehyde. Then MoO2(acac)2 was supported on the Fe3O4@boehmite-imine. This catalyst were analyzed by FT-IR, ICP, TG, XRD and SEM and then it was used in epoxidation of Alkenes and yields of products were investigated by GC. The catalytic procedur were optimized for different parameters such as amount of catalyst, solvent, oxidant, temperature and time. In addition recycling experiments revealed that these catalyst could be repeatedly applied for nearly complete epoxidation of alkenes for at least five successive cycles.
