Abstarct: The subject of this thesis is due to the synthesis of oxovanadium (IV) complexes of dehydroacetic acid thiosemicarbazone [VO(dhatsc)]n and oxomolybdenum (VI) complexes of dehydroacetic acid thiosemicarbazone [MoO2 (dhatsc)]n which characterized by spectroscopic techniques. These catalysts were used for alkens epoxidation. The effect of some reaction parameters such as solvent and oxidant were investigated. It was found that chloroform acted as the best solvent and tert- butyl hydroperoxide as the most favored oxidant.
