Abstarct: The study of the emerging effects in the electronic transport through point contacts is crucial. In present thesis, first, the electronic transmission coefficients through a quantum point contact is determined by applying Lippmann-Schwinger approach. Then by making use of these coefficients and the Landauer Formula, the conductance of the system is obtained. Finally, the dependence of the conductance of the point contact to the Fermi energy of the system and the width of contact is investigated numerically.
