QC234 : Electronic Transport in a Quantum Wire under Electromagnetic Radiation

Abstarct: The electromagnetic absorption of a quantum-well wire which has been illuminated by Terahertz laser field has been investigated theoretically. By calculating the exact time-dependent electronic states and determining the time evolution of single electron density matrix of the system, the contribution of electron-photon interactions to the electrical current has been obtained. At the end, numerical computations have been performed for a GaAs quantum-well wire and the achieved results have been studied.
