Abstarct: The present thesis is concerned with the estimate of an upper bound of secend Hankel determinant for the functions belonging to the subclasses of the classes of starlike and convex functions in the unit disc. Results proved by various authors can be obtained as special cases of the results of this paper by giving particular values to the parameters α and β.
