Abstarct: Abstract Here The problem of lessons scheduling is one of the most significant and practical issues which has been done in all educational institutes, annually or twice in an educational year. In the past, timextabling was provided manually; however, still now this is common in a great number of educational institutes. Writing the timextabling manually, needs a lot of time. In addition, the solution may be a possible answer but, not the best one. In this thesis, a model of solving the lessons scheduling problem has mentioned. To optimize the timextabling and to reply needs of professors and students, hard and soft limitation of this model is more than the previous ones. Three methods of local search, stochastic local search and, tabu search have been used to solve this model. Some solutions have been suggested in order to optimize these approaches. Finally for proving the practicality of this program which is written with Matlab, it has been implemented on data related to mathematics department of Shahroud technical university.
