Abstarct: Today, given the environmental problems and changes facing the world, the need for human society to move towards sustainable development in all dimensions has increased significantly. One of the effective and efficient paths to achieve sustainable development goals in different societies is to pay special attention to implementing sustainability concepts in various matters related to university campuses. Because university campuses, in addition to their educational and awareness-raising role, are considered small cities due to their large size, large number of buildings, population, and complex activities that have serious direct and indirect impacts on the environment. This research aims to develop sustainable university campuses with an emphasis on environmental values. To achieve this goal, it has been investigated to identify concepts and indicators of environmental sustainability and provide solutions to increase the level of environmental sustainability of university campuses (Central Campus of Shahrood University of Technology). Thus, this research is baxsed on the descxriptive-survey research method and includes two parts: documentary studies and questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out through descxriptive and inferential statistics in SPSS28 software, and the single-sample T-test method and confirmatory factor analysis using SEM-AMOS method were used to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that in the central campus, most of the environmental sustainability indicators, including energy conservation, sustainable materials, waste separation and recycling, rainwater collection and storage, smart energy equipment, smart water equipment, greenery in the building, bicycle use, water presence, natural energies, waste reuse and clean fuel, are in an inappropriate state. Improving the aforementioned factors resulting from data analysis can help increase the level of environmental sustainability of the university campus.
