Abstarct: Culture is one of the most fundamental factors influencing the formation of human living environment. Therefore, we need to create architectural spaces to transfer cultural capital. One of these spaces is cultural centers. Cultural centers, as a part of public spaces, bring people together in different departments and create a connection between people and the present and past generations (through theaters, museums, libraries, etc.) Iran, including the city of Kashan, has few cultural complexes due to its population. Therefore, by designing enough cultural spaces to promote culture and creating social, public and cultural spaces, we can take an important and effective step in promoting the city. In this research, the architectural criteria affecting the design of successful public spaces have been examined, in which cultural spaces are also a part of public spaces. Then, by case study of cultural centers, their success criteria in the fields of architecture and culture have been identified. Finally, by analyzing and recognizing the current state of the site, design options are provided.
