NA105 : Assessing the quality of urban spaces in the architectural design of privatized projects (A comparative study from Babolsar county)

Abstarct: Today, many sustainability researches have paid attention to the importance of the role of people's well-being in the sustainability of societies. Research has shown that the urban environment can affect people's behavior and well-being. Also, most of the researches agree; It is a successful space that can provide the well-being of its users. However, in the research related to the development of privatization, no attention has been shown to this issue. Therefore, the aim of this research is to gain insight into how privatization through diversity of behavior and activity, especially walking, can help people's well-being and thus control individual and contextual characteristics. This study used a quantitative research method: field investigation, observation and questionnaire survey of residents with a volume of 192 samples in two areas of Daryakanar private town and prime ministerial area of Babolsar city, and then analysis was done with IBM SPSS Statistics24 software. He also used correlation and regression tests to discover and define factors affecting well-being. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed with Cronbach's alpha and a coefficient of 0.6 and face validity by a number of university professors. This research showed that attractiveness and beauty as environmental predictors of psychological well-being improve the well-being of residents in both societies. The findings of this study provide strategies for improving the quality of public spaces to improve walking and well-being.
