Abstarct: This study aimed to investigate the direct and indirect effects of intensified work pressure on three health-related outcomes—mental health, health-threatening factors, and occupational chronic diseases—considering the mediating role of work-related health impairments among employees of Bank Tejarat branches in West Tehran. The statistical population consisted of approximately 825 employees from these branches. Using Morgan's table, a sample size of 263 was estimated. Sampling was conducted through a multi-stage random method. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using appropriate statistical methods to test the hypotheses and conduct path analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicated that all proposed direct relationships in the research model were confirmed. This means that intensified work pressure has a significant positive effect on increasing work-related health impairments. Furthermore, these impairments, in turn, lead to reduced mental health, increased health-threatening factors, and a higher incidence of occupational chronic diseases. On the other hand, key findings regarding the mediating role revealed that work-related health impairments play a significant partial mediating role in the relationship between intensified work pressure and each of the three final outcomes (mental health, health-threatening factors, and chronic diseases). These results indicate an important reality: high work pressure jeopardizes employees' overall health not only directly but also gradually and in a chain-like manner through the creation and accumulation of minor and major physical and psychological impairments in the work environment. The significance of this finding lies in highlighting the "gradual and multi-laxyered process of health erosion" caused by occupational stress, which, if not controlled and managed in the early stages (formation of impairments), will lead to serious and costly consequences.
