Abstarct: The main purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of profit quality, institutional ownership on the investment efficiency of companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange. The current research is a descxriptive research in which the financial information of 130 companies operating in the stock market during the period of 1396 to 1401 has been examined. How to select the sample is given in the third chapter of this research. Quantitative statistical analysis including regression analysis was used for data analysis. Also, Excel and Eviews7 software have been used to analyze data and extract research results. Finally, default tests were performed and t-test was used to determine the significance of the independent relationship with the dependent variable. The results of the first hypothesis show that there is a negative and significant relationship between profit quality and investment efficiency. And the results of the second hypothesis show that institutional ownership has a positive and significant effect on investment performance. And the third results indicate that institutional ownership moderates the negative effect of profit quality on investment efficiency.
