Abstarct: Today, the open innovation paradigm invites companies to make more use of external ideas and technologies in their business and to allow other companies to benefit from their innovative ideas. In this research, we seek to find the answer to this key question, how do organizations use the experience of implementing pioneering projects in order to create a systematic ability to manage open innovation projects? In the current research, the statistical population is the Electronic Industries Organization of Iran, which operates in the field of open innovation. The statistical sample of the research is to investigate the impact of open innovation on the scope of project knowledge management, emphasizing the aspects of project risk management, project time management, project human resources management, and project communication management. In order to collect information, a researcher-made questionnaire was used, and the resulting data were analyzed by Mic-Mac data analysis software. According to the obtained results, 5 variables of shortening the product development time, enrichment of project evaluations with different aspects, inefficiency in production and distribution, misuse of intellectual and physical assets of the organization and coordination problems were identified as strategic variables of the research, which affect slower product development. Faster entry into the market and diversity of risk are affected as research outputs.
