Abstarct: The product life cycle illustrates the period of time from product introduction to its decline, and its identification is important for any company. Because by knowing this cycle, while helping the growth of production and sales of the product, the company can prevent the rapid decline of the product. Also, analayzing the product life cycle and its determinants helps the company to achieve a higher competitiveness than its competitors. Obviously, the company can improve its competitive position and gain more market share with effective marketing mixes throughout the product life cycle. In this regard, the main purpose of the present research is to model and analyze the relationships and factors affecting the life cycle of pharmaceutical products using the hybrid approach of econometrics and system dynamics during the period of 2002-2022. Due to the high consumption of antibiotics in Iran, in this research, amoxicillin of Farabi company was selected and simulated for the period of 2002-2029. The results of this research show that firstly, marketing expenses, research and development expenditure, consumer satisfaction have a positive effect on the product life cycle, and the reduction in the relative price of medicine also leads to the expansion of production in the product life cycle. Secondly, the effect is greater at the end of the growth stage, especially at the maturity stage, as well as at the decline stage of the product. Thirdly, it seems that this medicine has reached its decline stage. baxsed on the results obtained in this research, it is suggested to the managers of Farabi company, while examining the life cycle of the product, especially in the stages of saturation and decline, to maintain the product life cycle and its sales at an optimum level by adopting appropriate policies. Also, according to the confirmation of the research hypotheses, it is suggested that this company should reduce the relative price of amoxicillin by reducing its cost to overcome the decline of the product, take advantage of the marketing capacity, increase research and development expenditure for the quality of the product, as well as evaluate and improve consumer satisfaction by implementing approaches such as customer relationship management (CRM).
