Abstarct: Productivity has been an issue at the national level since the 1970s. Also, due to limitations in the factors of production, labor productivity has been of particular importance at the global level. Indeed, it is an important and key indicator for economist, because it affects inflation, unemployment, economic conditions. But first, it is necessary to identify important and influential factors on labor productivity and try to make policies to improve productivity. Labor productivity has been studied from different ways. In this study, we intend to investigate the effect of the law of distribution of a hot meal on labor productivity in selected industries in Iran with a 4-digit ISIC code during the years 1387-1397. In order to estimate the data panel model, Stata software has been used. The results show that there is a positive and significant relationship between the law of distribution of a hot meal and labor productivity. According to the result, the research hypothesis is accepted and with the implementation of the law of distribution of a hot meal, labor productivity increases. Also, by conducting the present study, it is possible to help industrial employers to make a better decision between the two options of food distribution or payment of Rials in order to support labor productivity.
