HA31 : Analysis of structure and proponing of the staff motivational model in Research Institute of Petroleum Industry

Abstarct: According to the importance of "Motivation" on improving the efficiency
of Human Resources programs and improving the amount of job
satisfaction among the organizations staff, in this study, we have
investigated the structure of incentives in RIPI Tehran. By examining the
actual trends and conditions of the research institute, three factors were
selected as the major ones affecting motivation. These factors are
mentioned as: Technical skills, Reward and Discrimination.
Using the three factors mentioned above, a model was proposed for the
study. After localization of standard motivation questionnaires and
benefiting from professors’ viewpoints, a questionnaire was designed for
this study with minimal error. The Reliability and validity of the
questionnaire, indicates its quality.
The collected data were analyzed using correlation and regression tests.
Sophisticated algorithms of random forests were used for ranking the
variables which are believed to be an innovation at this research.
Finally, results are compared with the theories of motivation to properly
check the validity of the results.
