HA283 : The influence of ethical leadership dimensions to deviant workplace behavior mediated by ethical climate and organizational commitment

Abstarct: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ethical leadership dimensions on employee deviant behavior in the workplace with emphasis on the mediating role of ethical climate and organizational commitment. The research is descxriptive- co relational and baxsed on structural equation modeling in terms of data collection. The statistical population of this study includes 703 employees of Shiraz Municipality and the statistical sample was randomly selected. The sample size in this study was estimated to be 248 using Cochran's formula. Therefore, 260 questionnaires were distributed, of which 248 were suitable for statistical analysis. Measuring tools for research variables are a combination of different questionnaires such as the Ethical Leadership Questionnaire De Hoogh and Den Hartog (2008), Ethical Climate Questionnaire Victor and Clooney's (1987), Organizational Commitment Questionnaire Allen and Meyer (2004) And Deviant Behavior Questionnaire Bennett and Robinson (2000). baxsed on the results, it can be said that the dimensions of ethical leadership (ethical orientation, role transparency and power sharing) through the ethical climate and organizational commitment have a significant effect on employees' deviant behavior in the workplace.
