HA256 : Survey the Economical of Photovoltaic Systems in the Energy Production Process

Abstarct: The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate the economical benefit of the design of modern photovoltaic (PV) technology in the energy production process for Shahroud City. It also estimates the benefits of power plant construction, which include the government or investor benefit from selling electricity generated by the plant, saving on fossil fuels and reduction of environmental pollution resulting from reduced fossil fuel consumption. Production technology selection is made with engineering and economic data. Due to the effect of power level of plant from geographical and climatic conditions of the region, feasibility of the project is analyzed using the data from NASA and RETscreen software. The economic assessment and financial analysis of the project were further carried out by this software and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) method, because that includes all effective parameters on the project. By this method, the advantages and disadvantages of the project have been calculated in the entire lifetime of the project. And doing four different scenarios, the risk analysis and sensitivity of such species were determined that the construction of the photovoltaic power plant is completely economical for Shahroud City. And invest return rate on equity and internal rate of return will be 5.7 years and 17.1 percent, respectively.
