Abstarct: The development of technology in modern life, changing the life style and results in movement poverty and increased risk of diseases. The Studies have shown that sport and especially recreational sport, as a means of bracing can help solve this problem. Since women’s participation in sport activities is one of the important ways to providing mental and physical health, investigation of constraints, negotiation strategies for overcoming barriers, and motivation is important to increase participation. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of constraints, negotiation strategies, and motivation in sport participation of women. The study was descxriptive- correlational and statistical population included all women (N=2201) that do aerobics in shahrood city. Using Morgan table 327 person selected by random cluster and available sampling method. After distributing and collecting the correct questionnaires, the number of sample was 292 person. In order to collect data, questionnaires of demographic characteristics, constraints and (Mannel & Hubbard, 2001), negotiation strategies constraints (Mannel & Hubbard, 2001), as well as motivation questionnaire (Mannel & Hubbard, 2001), and add two questions from the questionnaire Hong Yong Lin (2010) to cover all the incentives were used. Face and content validity of the questionnaires by 10 experts and professors of sport management determined. in order to determine the reliability of the questionnaires a pilot study was conducted on a group of 30 person of female athletes, Cronbach's alpha test results (constraints, α=0/94), (negotiation strategies, α=0/86) and (motivation, α=0/70) showed that the scales had acceptable reliability. The results of structural equation modeling showed that constraints have significant and negative effect on sports participation. Also, negotiation strategies on sport participation and motivation on negotiation strategies have significant and positive effect. As well as the motivation has indirect effect on participation of women in sport activities (through variable of negotiation strategies constraints). Finally, all indicators show the model’s fit.
