Abstarct: The present study was carried out to evaluate the efficacy of ginger supplementation when performing eccentric contractions on the levels of kinase creatine and dehydrogenase lactate (as indicators of cell damage) in men basketball plaxyers. Therefore, among the statistical population which includes men's basketball plaxyers in Shahroud city, 20 athletes are qualified to be selected purposefully and by simple random method and divided into two groups; 1- Experimental group (laboratory ginger consumption 11 days before the protocol lab exercise (10 = n)) and 2- control group (10 = n), respectively. The experimental group consummated 4 capsules per day containing 250 mg of ginger powder for 11 days before the exercise protocol. To examine the effects of ginger supplements and physical activity on values of kinase creatine and dehydrogenase lactate, blood sampling were performed in five steps (First: 11 days before the exercise protocol, the second: 1 hour before the exercise protocol and third, four and five stages: 1, 24 and 48 hours after the exercise protocol) for both groups and each time 5 cc of blood were taken from the brachial vein. The above exercise protocol on a treadmill was as follows: Before the main test, subjects warmed up themselves for five minutes and with 50% heart rate reserve. Then, the speeds of the treadmills were set up according to 75% of heart rate reserve for each subject to run on a treadmill for 45 minutes with a negative gradient of 5%. Speeds of treadmills in all 45 minutes of activity were manipulated to save the heart rate remains stable at 75 percent. At the end to analyze the data, the Shapiro-Wilk test for determining normality was used and then to compare relevant data and evaluate the effect of supplementation two-way ANOVA was used to determine changes within these two groups and the analysis test of repeated variance and Bonferroni post hoc test were used to determine the exact place of difference. The significance level is considered for all statistical analyzes P < 0.05. The results indicated that the 11 days consumption of ginger supplements in the experimental group was able to significantly prevent the increase of creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase enzymes within an hour of aerobic training to and trends as considered and accelerate the trend of reducing them in 24 and 48 hours time intervals after the exercise protocol.
