The present study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications in the field of sports tourists' behavioral intentions. The statistical population included all scientific articles indexed in the Scopus databaxse in the field of sports tourists' behavioral intentions. Using a defined search strategy including the combined keywords "behavioral intentions," "tourist," and "sport," a total of 83 articles met the inclusion criteria. Sampling was conducted as a census using a keyword-baxsed purposive method. Data were analyzed using VOSviewer software through co-authorship analysis, co-occurrence analysis, citation analysis, and bibliographic coupling analysis. The findings indicated that in terms of subject areas, "Business, Management and Accounting" had the highest share with 41%. The scientific collaboration network in this field is centered around the United States, with South Korea and China ranking next. The article by Lee et al. (2005) with 472 citations was identified as the most cited article in the field, and the journals "Journal of Sport and Tourism" and "Sustainability (Switzerland)" were introduced as the top publications. The analysis of the evolution of concepts over time revealed that in recent years, research focus has shifted toward satisfaction, destination image, perceived value, place attachment, nostalgia, and explaining sports tourists' behavioral intentions. Therefore, the field of sports tourists' behavioral intentions has evolved from an industry-oriented and demographic approach toward a behavioral, psychological, and experience-oriented approach. However, the weakness of international collaborations and the lack of interdisciplinary research are among the most important research gaps in this field.
