The statistical population consisted of football plaxyers in Baghdad Province, from which 172 plaxyers were selected as the sample using a convenience sampling method. Data were collected using three questionnaires including the Peer Leaders’ Motivational Climate Questionnaire (21 items), the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire developed by Raedeke et al. The validity of the measurement instruments was confirmed through the opinions of 10 experts and specialists in sport management, and their reliability was verified using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling through SPSS and Smart-PLS software. The findings showed that the peer leaders’ motivational climate had a negative and significant effect on athletes’ burnout (β = -0.579, T = 8.764). The results also indicated that the peer leaders’ motivational climate had a positive and significant effect on the well-being of football plaxyers (β = 0.568, T = 7.986). Overall, the results indicated that creating a positive motivational climate by peer leaders can play an important role in reducing burnout and enhancing the well-being of football plaxyers.
