Abstarct: The present study investigated the effect of motivational climate on student-athlete satisfaction with the mediating role of sports attachment. The research method was descxriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study included all male student-athletes in the second high school of Joghatai city. 211 people were selected as a statistical sample using non-random sampling. In the present study, the standard motivational climate questionnaires of Smith et al. (2008), athlete satisfaction questionnaires of Cheladurai and Reimer (1998), and sports attachment questionnaires of Julian and Martins (2012) were used. The reliability of the questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach's alpha above 0.7 and was confirmed. The face validity technique was used to determine validity. The results of structural equations with PLS software showed that motivational climate has an effect on student-athlete satisfaction. Also, motivational climate has an effect on attachment to sports, and attachment to sports has an effect on student-athlete satisfaction. The overall conclusion is that the motivational climate has an effect on the satisfaction of student athletes in Choghatai County with the mediating role of attachment to sports. Finally, it was suggested that counselors should identify signs of decreased interest in sports and, in collaboration with teachers, facilitate the path of students' return to sports activity through emotional and motivational support. Coaches and educational policymakers should design educational and coaching programs that strengthen sports attachment, not only on competitive results; and choose tools and assessments in such a way that mediators such as attachment can be clearly measured and their effects included in models.
