Abstarct: The present study aimed to investigate the effect of transformational leadership on the job satisfaction of physical education teachers, with the mediating role of organizational climate. The research method was descxriptive–correlational in nature and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of this study consisted of all physical education teachers working in schools in Babil Province, Iraq. A total of 170 questionnaires were initially considered for distribution. However, after confirming the validity and reliability of the measurement instruments, 254 questionnaires were collected over a one-month period. Convenience sampling was employed as the sampling method in this study. Data collection included demographic information and three standardized questionnaires: transformational leadership by Buil et al. (2019), job satisfaction by Hon and Grunig (1999), and organizational climate by Jaw and Liu (2003). Data analysis was conducted in two stages—descxriptive and inferential—using SPSS and PLS-SEM software, respectively. The results indicated that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and organizational climate among physical education teachers. In addition, the effect of organizational climate on job satisfaction was confirmed. However, the mediating role of organizational climate in the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction was not supported. baxsed on the findings of this study, school administrators can enhance teachers’ job satisfaction by focusing on transformational leadership styles and adopting related behaviors such as individualized support, encouragement, and motivation of teachers. Moreover, strengthening the organizational climate can still contribute to increased motivation, interaction, and participation among teachers.
