Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of organizational climate on employee performance in sport organizations, with organizational trust as a mediating variable. This applied study employed a descxriptive-correlational design baxsed on structural equation modeling (SEM) and was conducted cross-sectionally. The statistical population included all employees working in sports offices in Al Anbar Governorate, Iraq, of whom 165 individuals were selected as the sample using convenience sampling. Data were collected using the Organizational Climate Questionnaire (Jaw and Liu, 2003), the Employee Job Performance Questionnaire (Abramis, 1994), and the Organizational Trust Questionnaire (Su & Swanson, 2019), all designed on a five-point Likert scale (1= strongly disagree to 5= strongly agree). Face and content validity were confirmed by experts, and reliability was established at a satisfactory level through Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS and PLS software. The results revealed that organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on both employee performance and organizational trust. Furthermore, organizational trust plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between organizational climate and employee performance in sport organizations. Ultimately, it is recommended that managers of sport organizations enhance a positive organizational climate and strengthen mutual organizational trust by implementing specialized management training programs and workshops, as well as establishing continuous and transparent feedback channels between managers and employees, thereby improving employee performance and overall organizational effectiveness.
