GV323 : The Effect of Experience on Sports Customer Satisfaction, a Multi-group Analysis baxsed on Gender

Abstarct: This study aimed to investigating the effect of experience on sports customer satisfaction, conducted a multigroup analysis baxsed on gender. The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descxriptive-correlative in terms of method, and the data collection was conducted in the field. Participants included all sports tourists in 2023-2024 who had traveled to Saman County for the sport of rafting. Given the uncertainty of their number, sampling was purposeful and accessible, and 260 people were accepted as a sample. To collect data, two standard questionnaires were used: experience (Singh et al., 2022) and customer satisfaction (Kate et al., 2021). To confirm the face and content validity from the experts' point of view and to confirm the reliability of the instrument, Cronbach's alpha test was used, which was obtained as 0.82 and 0.74 for experience and satisfaction, respectively. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS version 24 and SmartPLS version 3. All hypotheses were tested at a significance level of 0.05. The findings showed that the effect of tourism experience on rafting tourists' satisfaction was (0.40). Also, the T-statistic value for this route was 7.19. Therefore, tourism experience has a positive and significant effect on rafting tourists' satisfaction. Also, the effect of tourism experience on tourists' satisfaction was 0.005. Also, the significance coefficient for this route was 0.96, which indicates that it is greater than 0.05; therefore, it was determined that there is no significant difference between the effect of tourism experience on the satisfaction of male and female tourists. Therefore, according to the findings, it can be stated that acquiring beautiful and enjoyable memories, remembering positive experiences from the last visit to the river, gaining a sense of liberation, gaining a sense of joy, and increasing tourists' awareness and knowledge by attending the rafting site has had a significant positive impact on gaining satisfaction from the experience of this recreation, meeting tourists' expectations from the experience of this recreation, and gaining a sense of satisfaction baxsed on the time and effort that tourists have invested in this field.
