GV284 : The effect of forced teleworking on quality of work life and job satisfaction of physical education teachers

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate how forced teleworking affected the quality of work life and job satisfaction of physical education teachers. All physical education teachers in the province of Khorasan Razavi made up the statistical population for this study (N = 3000), and 334 samples were analyzed. The Compulsory Teleworking Questionnaire developed by Richards et al. (2005), the Teachers' Quality of Work Questionnaire developed by Ilgan et al. (2014), and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire developed by Hoon and Gronings (1999) were used for data collection. Ten experts and professors of sports management provided their opinions on the form and content validity of these questionnaires. Convergent and divergent validity were utilized to assess the construct validity of the questionnaires.
A pilot study was carried out on a group of 30 teachers to determine the reliability of the questionnaires (telework = 0.91), (quality of work life = 0.86) and (job satisfaction = 0.94). the Cronbach's alpha results showed that the questionnaires have reasonable reliability. The hypotheses were put to the test through structural equation modeling. The findings indicated that forced teleworking has a beneficial impact on job satisfaction for physical education teachers and a direct and significant impact on work life quality. As a result, improving the quality of work life and, consequently, job satisfaction, will improve with the development and reinforcement of teleworking in schools together with the expansion of the essential infrastructure.
