GV249 : The Impact of Information technology capability on the competitiveness of sports stores with the mediating role of social innovation

Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of information technology capabilities on the competitiveness of sports stores with the mediating role of social innovation. This research is a survey in terms of applied purpose and descxriptive method. In terms of the relationship between the variables is of the correlation type and in terms of time is cross-sectional. The statistical population studied in this study consisted of all sellers of sports stores in Tehran in 1400. The number of statistical populations studied was unknown. Structural equation modeling rules were used to estimate the sample size. The minimum sample size was 5 times the observable variables (25 variables), ie equal to 125, and the maximum sample size was 20 times the observable variables, ie 500. The sampling method used in this study was unlikely to be available. The data collection tool in this study was a questionnaire. The questionnaires used consist of 4 sections: the first part is demographic information and the rest of the sections include: standard questionnaires of information technology capability Soto-Acosta, Pupa and Martinez-Conza (2018), competitiveness Ozdemir and Aslan (2011) and the social innovation of Bolot, Ern and Hallas (2013), with a range of 5 Likert options, the validity and reliability of the questionnaires used, reviewed and confirmed. A total of 127 respondents answered these questionnaires completely and perfectly. After collecting information through questionnaires, structural equation modeling including confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were used to analyze the data. The software used for data analysis were SPSS and SMART PLS. The results of the present study showed that the capability of technology has a positive and significant effect on social innovation of sports stores; Social innovation has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of sports stores; Technology capability has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of sports stores, and social innovation plays a mediating role in the relationship between technology capabilities and the competitiveness of sports stores. It seems that paying attention to the effectiveness and usefulness and support of social innovation as well as giving importance to different aspects of knowledge and budget and supported operations in the IT capability variable has a major contribution in the development of sports stores and to them. Help to achieve competitive power.
