Abstarct: Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of circular resistance training on arterial stiffness in type 2 diabetic men with peripheral neuropathy. Method: This research is an extension research that was done in a randomized clinical trial design with pre-test and post-test measurement. The statistical population of the study consisted of all referrals to Pasargard clinic of Shahroud baxsed on the conditions of admission. Thirty subjects were randomly divided into two experimental (n = 15) and control (n = 15) groups to participate in the 3-month study period. Circular resistance training (12 weeks of circular resistance training with 8 to 10 movements per session, 10 to 20 repetitions, 1-1 rounds and 3 sessions per week) was performed on the subjects. Descxriptive tests such as mean and standard deviation and inferential tests (dependent t-test for evaluating intra-group differences, ANOVA for inter-group differences at significance level 0.05) were used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed that the effect of circular resistance training on arterial stiffness indices (leg-brachial index, cardiovascular-vascular index, systolic blood pressure and resting heart rate) were significant. Results: The results show that circular resistance training has a positive effect on improving arterial stiffness indices in diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy.
