Abstarct: The aim of this study was to investigate Effective Factors of risk management in sports events. This research is baxsed on the purpose of applied research type and according to the method of information gathering, is a descxriptive exploratory research. Data was collected using mixed method in two qualitative and quantitative parts. In the qualitative part of the research, the main variables and main factors affecting the risk management of sport events were identified by interviewing several experts in this field and baxsed on this, the risk management questionnaire was designed in sports events, In the quantitative part, the data obtained from the implementation of the questionnaire prepared in the qualitative section were used to test the hypothesis. The statistical population of the study consisted of experts and stakeholders in the field of sporting events including employees of sports and youth departments, heads of sports boards of Semnan province and Khorasan Razavi, and some professors and researchers in this field. The statistical sample in the qualitative section includes 8 experts in risk management, Sampling was done by snowball sampling. In the quantitative section, 127 non-random sampling were selected as the statistical sample. The instrument used was semi-structured interview in the qualitative section and in the quantitative part of the questionnaire consisting of 25 items and 5 components, whose content validity was assessed by 10 experts, structural validity was assessed using exploratory factor analysis. And its reliability was obtained through Cronbach's alpha of 0.93. The results of the research showed that 5 components of the safety of places and equipment, physical security, personnel and training, management & planning and emergency management respectively have the most effect in explaining the risk management of sporting events.
