Abstarct: Coaches and referees who are practicing in the federations, clubs and sport competitions fulfill many different duties. Because of the responsibilities, they face many obstacles. So, their physical and mental health and safety are very important. Probably, one of the main factors of the physical education profession is the environmental conditions and the supports provided by the manager and other colleagues. Stress at work is also depends on environment and job conditions. This paper is aimed for study coaches and referees’ stress related factors in various sports. The research method applied in this paper is descxriptive – correlative method. The statistical population consists of all active coaches and referees in basketball, swimming, volleyball, table tennis and martial arts who were involved in Iranian premier league in 2010-2011. Because of the low statistical population, the sample population is considered (N=n). The research instruments are the “Soccer Officials Stress Survey” comprise 30 items and consist of 6 factor (Fear of failure, Performance appraisal, Technical performance, Times conditions, Interpersonal conflicts and Personal difficulties). The content and Formal validity of the questionnaires were confirmed by a number of university professors. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient is used to test the reliability of the Questionnaires in the pilot study. The reliability of the coaches and referees’ questionnaire are 0.86 and 0.85 respectively. Method of data analysis is descxriptive statistics and inferential statistics. SPSS software package was useful for the analysis. Since the distribution of variables is not normal, the research hypothesis are analyzed by Friedman at p<0.05 and p<0.01. The result shows that there are meaningful differences of stress related factors among coaches and referees. The fear of failure is the most important factor among coaches and referees which is more significant among basketball coaches and referees. Time is also an important factor among coaches of individual sports such as swimming, martial arts, table tennis. Fear of failure is the main factor among the coaches of team sports such as basketball and volleyball.
