GV130 : The relationship between social capital and organizational silence with organizational citizenship behavior (A case study: youth and sport office, employees of khorasan razavi)

Abstarct: The organizations in order to survive in todayʼs complex world and achieve their goals and missions, which are the same as development and efficiency, expect their employees to participate in the development of the organization with their knowledge, ideas, feedbacks and suggestions. This requires that employees through communication, interaction, participation in discussions and sharing information and knowledge, pass of job requirments and help the better and more in develop to the organization. The aim of study is determination of relationship between social capital and organizational silence with organizational citizenship behavior. This study is a descxriptive-correlational and it was done with field method. Youth and sport offices employees of khorasan razavi were population of this research. All of population was selected in as sample. After determination of validity and reliability, to collect data, was used social capital standard questionnaire baxsed an the reseaech of (Shiri et al, 1391), organizational silence questionnaire (Vakola & Bouradas, 2005) and organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire (Podsakoff, 1998(. The validity of questionnaires were calculated by Cronbachʼ s alpha 0/81, 0/85 and 0/78 recpectively. To test the hypothesis were used Pearsonʼs Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression. The results showed there are negative and significant correlation between social capital and organizational silence and also between organizational silence and organizational citizenship behavior. But there are positive and significant correlation between social capital and organizational citizenship behavior. As well as social capital and organizationl predicted changes in organizational citizenship behavior.
