Abstarct: The economies of oil-rich countries often depend on rising drilling rates, exploitation and crude oil production. Therefore, it is important for engineers and researchers to eliminate the existing interruptions and also to accelerate this. Among the effective factors in delaying the drilling process of reservoirs, we can mention the problems created during drilling operations. One of the common problems in drilling operations for oil and gas wells is the occurrence of drilling rigs, which if not taken at the right time to solve it can lead to many problems such as wasting time and money or even losing the well. In general, the restriction in the rotation of the string and the lack of up and down movement of the drill string is called drill string stuck. Know the sensitive and possible conditions of the drill string stuck by changing the effective parameters, we can greatly prevent this problem. Drilling string stuck, is also present when most drillings are not done vertically, so incorrect reaction can easily change the normal conditions of drilling operations and incur very high costs, so the first step is to quickly identify the stuck. And then proceeded to release it. These days, various methods have been introduced to detect and predict drill string stuck. In this research, an attempt was made to predict and investigate the occurrence of drill string stuck in the fractal geometry by constructing a model. To create this modeling, the parameters of operation, drilling fluid, mechanical specifications of drilling pipes and weight pipes, well logging and bore hole assembly )BHA), related to drilling one of the wells in the fields of southern Iran were used. In this thesis, first the data related to the occurrence of drill string stuck were categorized and studied, then using different algorithms in fractal geometry was estimated and the related dimension was analyzed and the occurrence of drill string stuck was predicted with high accuracy. All parameters in the safe drilling mode have the lowest value of fractal dimension, When done performing drilling operations and approaching the stuck point, the value of the fractal dimension which is the result of the actual values of each parameter has an increasing trend, As a result, during drilling increasing the amount of fractal dimension of each parameter from its safe drilling can be a sign or potential of the part to be drilled in creating the drilling string stuck, Therefore, it is inevitable to pay attention to the amount of fractal dimension and warn about its increase to the rig staff in order to change the amount of controlled parameters to prevent the drill string stuck.
