Abstarct: Most techniques in seismic methods are used to determine subsurface structures. To obtain more accurate information and then obtain better picture quality, well data such as sonic log and check shot will be taken. Also we use vertical seismic profiling (vsp) survey to extract information from borehole. Many seismic reflectors are not parallel to the earth’s surface but exhibit some dip relative to horizontal. Determination of reflector dip is critical to exploration since dip affects the magnitude of structural closure, defines basin geometry, implies tectonic history and controls depositional processes. Consequently, it is important to demonstrate how reflector dip appears in vsp data and to determine what resolution limits must be achieved in vsp measurements in order to satisfactorily measure dip. There is Ambiguity in the interpretation of subsurface geological structures using conventional seismic data, because the source and the receiver are on the surface. In vsp data recorded since the geophones in the vicinity of the desired goals of exploratory wells have been proved to be quite tight to the wall, path of all reflections, wave attenuation and Fersnel zone dimension decrease and Higher quality images are obtained.
The goal of vsp processing is often to make it look like part of a standard reflection survey Then it can be spliced into the seismic section. Much of the same preliminary processing as with reflection data is the same:
Correlation, if we use vibrator as a source, Deconvolution for multiple suppression and wavelet shaping, Stacking over repeated sources, Filter out downgoing waves so that only upgoing waves are left, Flatten the downgoing waves, Stack the traces by summing them. The aim of the project is to determine the slope and azimuth of laxyered structures using a three-component borehole seismic data so that the sections can be derived from this information to correct the superficial laxyers of the interpretation of seismic data.
