Abstarct: Primary identification of geothermal resources and geological studies in Iran, indicated the presence of these resources in Ardebil province. In addition, the hot springs, many fumaroles in the area and the presence of hydrothermal fluids in fractures and faults intersect is another reason for the existence of these resources. The aim of this project is to estimate the Curie depth with the use of air magnetic data in order to identify potential area of the geothermal resources in Ardebil province. By calculating this depth, heat flow map can be also being determined. In addition, prosperous areas could be determined with regard to the location of hot springs. Then with integration of this map with other maps of existing information, final map of the possibility of geothermal resources can be introduced. In order to calculate the Curie depth, the aeromagnetic data with 7.5 km flight distance is used. For this purpose, IGRF, power spectra, reduced to pole (RTP), and band-pass filtered anomalies were produced using geophysical techniques. The area was divided into blocks with 90*90 km dimension and the power spectrum was calculated for each block by using Oasis montaj software (Geosoft Company). Top depth was computed by linear fitting to the second part of the lowest-frequency segment of azimuthally averaged power spectrum of the magnetic field data. Afterward, the centroid depth of magnetic sources was calculated by linear fitting to the first part of lowest-frequency segment. Then Curie depth is obtained with use of top and centroid depth of magnetic sources. Finally, map of the Curie depth, thermal gradient and heat flow were produced for Ardebil province. The possibility of geothermal reservoir area was determined with the use of these three maps and the location of hot springs. In the next step, these maps were integrated with other exploration data including geology, faults, hot springs, magnetic, gravity and alteration with fuzzy and Boolean overlay technique by using ArcGIS 10 software. The results showed that there is agreement between the possibility of geothermal reservoir map obtained from Curie depth and the map obtained by using fuzzy and Boolean overlay technique. In addition, the results showed that there are geothermal resources in the central and the west parts of Ardebil Province. The presence of the hot springs around the mountain Sabalan in the west of Ardebil Province shows the validation of the results
