Abstarct: Drilling and blasting are important parts in open pit mining. Optimization of these operations can be effective in drilling reduction, explosives usage, distribution of fragmentation size and mining costs. The object of this thesis is the design of appropriate blasting patterns to produce feed crusher of limestone mine of Bojnurd Concrete Factory. Therefore, some mining blasts are evaluated with image processing method. So, patterns are evaluated baxsed on mathematical models, Swedefo, Kuz-Ram, Improved Kuz-Ram; and fragmentation results are predicted. According to assessments the Kuz-Ram model is the best model for the mentioned mine. For achieve to a proper pattern with the use of Kuz-Ram model, nine different patterns were designed. And therefore, within these nine models, three of them had a distribution of fragmentation size that supplied the necessary feed for crusher of limestone mine of Bojnurd Concrete Factory.
