Abstarct: This thesis presents a plan for Optimal Fuzzy Control Using Memetic Algorithm to improve the Active Suspense System performance in order to increase the ride comfort and vehicle handling.Using Hydraulic Actuator, Active Suspension System is capable to produce the proper power under (despite of) constant road conditions in order to access two key purposes, ride comfort and safe driving .Therefore the controller is designed for a quarter-car model by using Electro Hydraulic driving .Hydraulic driving dynamics have been considered in a nonlinear type to increase similarity to real suspensione system when the nonlinear inverse controller has been used to overcome these dynamics.Actually ,using Impedance control a predetermined response (action) is defined against disturbance arising from road changes, then the required power for this predetermined response is calculating by a fuzzy controller. Finally by using Fuzzy inverse controller which has been optimizely designed considering all nonlinear dynamics of hydraulic actuator and by using Memetic Algorithm, required current for hydraulic power producing is calculated and applied. The Impedance control rule makes a desirable relation between body displacement and road disturbance.Comparison between the performance of recommended suspension system and passive suspension system shows the superiority of presented system in ride comfort and safe driving in vehicle despite of road diturbance uncertainly existence.
