Abstarct: According to statistics from the Fuel Conservation Organization, 39% of the total energy production in Iran is consumed in residential and commercial buildings. Of this amount, about 50% is wasted in different parts of the building, where air conditioning systems play an important role. As a result, implementation of an applied method to reduce energy consumption is required on cooling and heating systems that can be implemented in all residential buildings in Iran. For this purpose in this project, making a sample building smart was studied in Mashhad. This was done by implementing the control algorithm on traditional air conditioning systems used in Iran which written and simulated in MATLAB software, on conventional air conditioning systems used in Iran, preventing the transmission of heat and cooling when the temperature is within the defined range. For a more comprehensive analysis, the amount of energy consumption reduction compared to its non-use status has been investigated for both winter and summer. Also, the effect of simultaneous use of insulation with a control algorithm, on the reduction of fuel consumption, was studied. Finally, the results of the installation of the electric curtain in the summer and its combination with insulation and control algorithm were investigated. The implementation of the control algorithm on the heating system in winter has led to a 25.41% reduction in energy consumption, Which Simultaneous use of it with insulation results in a 46.36% reduction in energy consumption. Also, during two month period in summer, by executing the usage of control algorithm with electrical curtain and insulation in the same time, power consumption will reduce from 22.59 kWh/m^2 to 15.08 Kilowatt hours per square meters.
