Abstract
................................................
In the collapse of the World Trade Towers in 2001 in New York, one of the reasons for the failure of the structure was the weak core of the steel frxame, which had no other line of defense against the massive impact, and this was due to the weakness of the steel against high heat. It is very important for the collapse of the tall structure. This lesson was learned that the strong cores of reinforced concrete can minimize the structural damage of tall buildings due to explosion, fire and earthquake. In this research, pipe diagrid structures in mextal pipe with reinforced concrete shear wall core were studied in two types of floors, 36 and 48 floors and with three angles of 69, 76 and 79 degrees for the diagonal elements in the outer pipe. All 6 patterns were modeled in 3D in Etabs software and analyzed and designed by equivalent static and spectral methods. In the second stage, the structures were analyzed by the non-linear static method (PushOver) and the capacity curves of the models were extracted and the seismic factors were calculated. In the third stage, the structures were calibrated under 11 pairs of acceleration maps and by the non-linear dynamic analysis method. Linear incremental time histories (IDA) were analyzed. Fragility curves were drawn for each structure and the structures were compared. The calculated coefficient of behavior was obtained in the range of 4.5 to 5, and the structure with an angle of 69 degrees for the diameter members in the outer tube had the best performance, then the structure was compared with a structure with the same specifications but with a steel diagrid core, and it was observed that Adding a concrete core significantly improves the performance of the structure and provides a high margin of safety for tall diagrid structures in the face of large earthquakes.
