Abstarct: In order to investigate the fauna of grasshoppers of short-horned upper part of Semnan region, during May to October 1400, samples were taken from 33 areas with an insect net and the collected morphological characteristics, including color specifications, size and shape of different body organs, leg length, male and female reproductive system, pre- Pollen, hind and front carmen of 19 species grasshoppers were transferred to the laboratory. The samples were prepared in the laboratory with the usual methods, then by referring to the reliable sources and checking the were identified. According to these reliable sources, 7 subfamilies, 2 families and 14 genera have been identified. This study is the first report on the fauna of short-horned grasshoppers in Semnan region. The asterisked species below are considered new species for the fauna of the province.
