Abstarct: Pistachio interspecies hybrids used in pistachio orchards estabolishment and they hanve important role in early bearing, yield, resistance to biological and non-biological stresses. In this study, in the first step, the possibility of producing hybrid seedlings between P. integerrima and P. vera was examined and then their growth characteristics were assessed under controlled temperature conditions of 5◦C. Hybrid seeds were obtained by crossing of P. integerrima pollens with four iranian Pistachio cultivars of Kalleqochi, Khanjari Ghermez, Akbari, Khanjari Sefide, a local femail variety as the parent in controlled pollination. The number of nut obtained from hybrids varied from 14 to 264, while common pistachio cultivar trees in open pollination produced an around 1000 nut under the same conditions. Percentage of blank nuts were ranged between 50 and 96 percent in hybrid seeds. The highest number of complet kernels was obtained from crossing hybrid of P. integerrima to Khanjari Ghermez with 264 nuts and 57 complet kernel and hybrid to Kalleqoochi with 116 nuts and 43 complet kernels. Hybrid seeds also had more than 50% germination. Hybrid rootstocks was growth a growth chamber at 5◦C for two weeks to investigate the effect of temperature on growth characteristics in compre to normal growth condition. The results of this experiment showed the significant differences of this rootstcok in all growth parameters. In the traits such as height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of stems, width of the largest leaflet, relative height growth and relative growth rate of stem, Khanjari Ghermez and Kalleqoochi rootstock have higher performance than P. integerrima and in the traits such as number the leaflet, the length of the largest leaflet, P. integerrima was better. Temperature had a significant effect on some traits.
