Abstarct: The dog rose with the scientific name of canina L. belongs to the family Rosaceae, which grows in different parts of the world. This family has species such as R. beggeriana, R. canina and R. damascene. The study of morphological diversity of dog rose to select suitable Genotypes for reproduction is one of the issues that should be considered in studies. In order to study the morphological diversity of Rosa canina in areas of northeast of Semnan province, 116 Rosa canina genotypes in 4 regions including Abr (29 genotypes), Olang (57 genotypes), Toskestan (10 genotypes) and Mojen (20 genotypes), by 59 quantitative and qualitative traits including vegetative traits of Shrub (branches and leaves), reproductive traits (flowers and fruits) was evaluted during one year. The results indicated that the number of flower per shoot was between 1 and 9, with an average of 4.29, the flower diameter was between 21.86 and 84.05 mm, with an average of 47.97 mm, the fruit length was between 9.21 and 24.76 mm, with an average of 16.62 mm, and the fruit width was between 8.27 to 17.44 mm with an average of 12.18 mm. The results of the simple correlation coefficient between the traits showed that there was a negatve and significant relationship between Flower odor with petal length, petal width, and pedical length and pedcal width. Also, the trait of fruit length has a positive and significant correlation with fruit width at the level of 1%. baxsed on the results of principal component analyses, the first component justifies 72.62 % of the variance. In the first 10 traits, 96.38 % justifies variance. Biplot analysis in this study showed that more than 50% of the total variance was justified by the first and second factors. The first and second components together accounted for 84.2% of the total variance. In the dendrogram created using cluster analysis and method, the genotypes entered were divided into the first and second groups from the distance of 55 scales and were also divided into two sub-branches by decreasing the distance between 48 and 35. 64 genotypes were combined in the first group and 52 genotypes were in the second group. In general, in genotype A25, due to the trait of flower diameter, it has the highest value of 84.05 mm in the Abr region. The best values for number of Prickles and growth habit were observed in Olang region. Also, fruit length and width traits had the highest values in A9 and O40 genotypes. Considering traits such as flower diameter, fruit length and width, number of Prickles and growth habit, which are important factors, suitable genotypes can be considered to select the appropriate rootstock.
