Abstarct: Seedless barberry is one of the most important small fruits in Iran, which is propagated only by suckers and this propagation method has limited the establishment of large scale commercial orchards. Therefore, in this study, different grafting methods, with and without IBA treatment was evaluated on the grafting success rate of seedless barberry on wild barberry rootstocks. During this research 127 cleft grafting, 85 omega, 110 green cleft, 106 T-budding, 301 chip graft (mid-spring and late summer) were performed for two consecutive years. The results showed that grafting method had a significant effects on the percentage of callus formation and grafting success (P<0.01). The highest percentage of callus formation and grafting success were observed in chip graft by 36.66 and 23.33%, respectively in 2018. The percentages of callus formation and grafting success in green cleft were 1.65% and 16.66%, respectively. The hardwood cleft grafting and omega methods were not successful in this experiment and their percentages of callus formation and formation were zero. In the T-budding, despite of 18.33% callus formation, the grafting success was zero. The scion IBA treatment had no significant effect on all five grafting methods. The results of this study showed that the successfully seedless barberry grafting on wild barberry species however the grafting success efficiency is low.
