Abstarct: In the fruit industry, apricots and its products can play a key role in non-oil exports and increase country income. With regard to the high rate of losses of horticultural products especially apricot fruit due to the climacteric behavior, high ethylene production and water loss in postharvest period, the alternative nutritional treatment at pre-harvest and postharvest period and modified atmosphere respectively, were required. Evaluation the foliar spray of normal and modified calcium nitrate on postharvest characteristic of apricot fruit (Prunus armenica cv. Shahroodi) according to the factorial in a randomized complete block design with three replications was investigated in this study. The first factor was pre-harvest foliar spray of calcium nitrate fertilizer in three levels (0, 2500, 5000 mgl-1), and modified calcium nitrate fertilizer in three levels (0, 2500, 5000 mgl-1) and the second factor was modified atmosphere packaging applying 3 types of polymeric films including 20 and 40 microns (LDPE films) and 30 microns (nano-composite) was done in Horticultural Science laboratory. The results showed that the physicochemical traits including TSS and microbial population had significant different statistically (p≤%1) and pH had significant different statistically (p≤%5). Weight loss, firmness, total acidity, pH, the electrolyte leakage had significant different statistically (p≤%5). Flavor as a sensory attribute had significant different statistically (p≤%5). Biochemical traits guaiacol contain peroxidase had significant different statistically (p≤%5) and catalase, poly phenol oxidase and total protein had not significant different statistically. Results showed that the combination of optimal calcium nitrate 5000 mg combined with 30 micron clay Nano composites film shown the greatest effect on the apricot fruits longevity with physicochemical properties maintenance so that the fruit storage period increased 28 days compared to control.
