Abstarct: Water and soil salinity is a problem in arid and semi-arid areas. Salinity limits the growth of plants by reducing the absorption of phosphorus, potassium, nitrate and calcium ions, and by ionic poisoning due to increased absorption of sodium and chloride ions and the osmotic stress. The use of phosphorus fertilizer and mycorrhiza fungi can be a good solution for increasing yield in saline conditions. For this purpose a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design was conducted in the greenhouse of Shahrood University on pomegranate. Treatments consisted of 2 levels of phosphorus fertilizer (non-use, use), 2 levels of mycorrhiza (without insemination and inseminated) and 3 levels of salinity of NaCl source (1, 4 and 8 dS. m). The test was performed in 3 replications. Results showed insemination by mycorrhiza resulted in increased shoot dry weight, leaf area, shoot P, mycorrhiza colonization, root phosphorus and chlorophyll index. Shoot dry weight, leaf area, shoot phosphorus, and percentage of mycorrhiza colonization and potassium in pomegranate roots were significantly affected by salinity, as all of these traits decreased with increasing salinity and only shoot chloride and root sodium were increased under the influence of this treatment. The interaction of salinity and mycorrhiza on shoot chloride of pomegranate was significant. Shoot sodium, root dry weight, root sodium and chlorophyll index were significantly influenced by the interaction of phosphorus and salinity.. The interaction between phosphorus fertilizer and mycorrhiza significantly effected root’s phosphorus and plant’s height and in none-fertilized condition and without insemination, a reduction in phosphorus absorption by the root was observed. Shoot potassium was also affected by the triple interaction between phosphorus fertilizer, mycorrhiza and salinity and the lowest absorption was observed in a salinity of 8dS and without the use of fertilizer and without mycorrhiza insemination.
