Abstarct: Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) is one of the vegetable fruit crops which highly consumed in the world. ،Therefore the improvement of tomato fruit quality is important for human health. Humic acid (HA), Calcium (Ca) and Boron (B) foliar application were used to study their effects on some physical and chemical characteristics and fruit quality and crop yield of Tomato (CV. Zomorrod) in 2014. Tomato plants were treated 3 times by Humic acid and Calcium each in three levels (0 or control, 1 g.L-1 and 2 g.L-1) and Boron in two levels (0 or control and 150 ppm). Analysis of variance showed that either fertilizers or their interaction effects significantly increased leaf area. Calcium application in 2 g.L-1 greatly increased plant height and 1 g.L-1 of calcium improved sharply stem diameter and fruit size.
Fruit set (fruit number per plant) were increased by H.A and B interaction significantly, but Fruit weight per plant were reduced by treatments. Plant yield were enhanced slightly by all treatments. In more traits higher concentration of fertilizers had negative effects. The interaction effects of treatments was significant on TA, pH and fruit pulp color. HA and Ca increased TSS and decreased pH. B, Ca interaction increased TA significantly. HA application increased vitamin C and Ca application increased lycopene content of fruits. Inspite of texture, skin color of fruits was not affected by fertilizers, however H.A had a slight increase on a* index and Ca and B on L* index.
