Abstarct: The value of corn is clear because of the using of all its parts and its ability to adopt with different climate. Weed is a factor that decrease the corn yield over the world. If plants germinate and establish faster, they will be better in competition with weeds. One of the methods that are used to fasten crop germination is priming on seeds. In this research tried to prime corn seeds and use the positive effects of priming to compare the competition potential of primed plants with non-primed. Hydrothermal priming is soaking the seeds in the water, then drying and taking them in a suitable temperature for some time. Then seeds are planted in field. The experiment was factorial in Randomized Complete Block Design with 4 replications. Investigated factors were 2 factors consisted of priming and weed control. Priming had 2 levels of primed and non-primed seeds and weed control investigated in 4 levels: (complete control, without control, once control, twice control). The way of control was just mechanical with no herbicides. The results showed that hydrothermal priming and weed control interaction has positive effects on corn growth, yield and yield components. Also results showed that the plants from priming and complete weed control were the best plants in growth and yield.
