Abstarct: Joveyn is located in the north of Sabzevar and in the western part of Khorasan-Razavi province, and in terms of location, it is considered a part of the central desert drainage basin. Joveyn plain ends in the heights from different directions and its alluvial sediments are located on a bed of volcanic rock. Joveyn region has a lot of agricultural land with very diverse products and is considered one of the important poles of agricultural production in the east of the country. For this reason, investigating the health of agricultural soil in this area is one of the main goals of the study. In order to achieve this goal, the agricultural soil of Plain of Joveyn was studied and investigated in terms of the concentration of heavy mextals. In order to conduct the study, 27 soil samples were collected from the agricultural lands of Plain of Joveyn and their physicochemical parameters were measured along with the concentration and distribution of heavy mextal elements. baxsed on the obtained results, the soil texture of the studied area was mostly clay loam. The average values of soil physicochemical parameters such as pH, percentage of organic matter (OM) and percentage of carbonate (CaCO_3) were obtained, respectively, 8.99, 2.22, and 43.47. Also, in the investigation of the concentration of heavy mextals in the agricultural soil of Plain of Joveyn, a number of sampling stations were found to be contaminated for some mextals, and in a number of stations, the concentration of some mextals was much higher than the permissible limit. Except for zinc, which in the average soil concentration of the region, showed a value lower than the global soil average, other elements showed the average concentration higher than the global average values. The correlation coefficients obtained from the soil samples showed a positive correlation between Cr and Ni, as well as a positive correlation between Cd and Cu and organic matter with Zn. In the study of the enrichment factor, zinc, cadmium, copper and lead elements were detected with low to medium enrichment and nickel, chromium and arsenic mextals with a significant enrichment. The geo-accumulation index for chromium and nickel mextals was in the medium pollution range, for lead and copper mextals in the non-polluted to medium pollution range, and for cadmium, arsenic and zinc in the non-polluted range. In the investigation of pollution load index, all sampling stations were found to be polluted. Also, in examining the health risk of mextals in different routes, ingestion, inhalation and skin contact for adults and children, the obtained numbers showed the risk of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health for elements in some stations from different routes.
