Abstarct: Six simple, accurate, and precise spectrophotometric methods, manipulating ratio spectra, were developed for simultaneous determination of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid, ASA) and ascorbic acid (Vitamin-C, AA). These methods include extended ratio subtraction method (EXRSM), simultaneous ratio subtraction method (SRSM), simultaneous ratio subtraction coupled with constant multiplication method (SRS-CM), constant center coupled with spectrum subtraction (CC-SS), ratio difference (RD) and ratio H-point standard addition (R-HPSAM) .In R-HPSAM method linear range of (ASA) and (AA) obtained and respectively are:(10-25) and (3-25) mg L-1, in all five methods (EXRSM, SRSM, SRS-CM, CC-SS and RD ) linear range of (ASA) and (AA) obtained and respectively are:(10-30) and (3-30) mg L-1 .in all six methods (EXRSM, SRSM, SRS-CM, CC-SS, RHPSAM and RD )detection limit of (ASA) obtained and respectively are 1.44, 2.81, 4.20, 0.833, 1.39 and 0.115 mg L-1 and in all six methods (EXRSM, SRSM, SRS-CM, CC-SS, RHPSAM and RD ) detection limit of (AA) obtained and respectively are 0.435, 0.019, 0.019, 0.519, 0.256 and 0.115 mg L-1.Influence of different interferences on selectivity of methods are considered. All proposed methods have admissible precision and accuracy for determination of ASA and AA in their binary mixtures exist in tap water and the cited drugs in tablets.
