QC386 : Investigation of the effect of pressure and type gas on pinching time in plasma focus device

Abstarct: The desire to reach the energy generated by nuclear reactions and the conditions governing it led to the creation of focal plasma devices. The focal plasma device is used as a pulse generator in producing x-rays, neutrons, and charged particles. The X-ray produced on this machine requires a pinch. Optimum conditions depend on Pinch synchronization with maximum current and symmetry of the plasma front. In this study, we investigate the effect of pressure and type of gas on the time of pinching in the focal plasma system. The analysis of the diagrams and experiments shows that the pinch time is increased due to increased pressure and voltage reduction, and also the type of selected gas has a significant effect on the time of the pinch.
