Abstarct: The increase in the population of cities has caused many problems, including the increase in consumption and pollution of natural resources. This problem has disturbed the environmental, economic and social balance within the cities. In such a way that the cities are faced with physical and environmental problems and the people living in the cities often suffer from everyday life and have less social interactions with each other. Citizens either do not have a sense of belonging to their place of residence or this sense is very weak among them. According to the conducted studies, this issue has caused crime, delinquency and ultimately lack of security in urban areas. One of the needs that make human life possible in the city is social interaction. In every city, small-scale spaces, due to any justified or unjustified reason, have been left unused and empty, which can achieve stable physical, spatial and social structures in urban areas according to the principles of sustainable development. The purpose of the current research is to provide a solution with the nature of sustainable architecture in order to promote the sense of belonging and security in urban areas, and it specifically seeks to answer the following question: What are the principles and components of sustainability in the design of a pocket park? How can architectural design increase security and sense of belonging in residents? In terms of its nature, this research is descxriptive-analytical, which was carried out using the tools of books, articles, internet resources and analysis of case examples, and while providing appropriate design solutions, to the architectural plan of a sustainable pocket park in order to increase the sense of belonging and security in Alborz Shahroud town has been completed, which is presented in the form of maps and 3D images.
